Abstract

This study aims to analyze and understand the emotions and feelings experienced by the patient undergoing mechanical ventilation who have been hospitalized in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), based on the experiences reported by 3 patients who had ventilatory support graduates invasive. Taking into account that ventilatory support leads to a loss of independence and control over the most vital for the maintenance activities of life "like breathing". the endotracheal tubes and intubation often cause nasal trauma which manifests itself in the lack of communication skills and immobilization resulting from intubation. they are stressed factors for patients manifesting the need for support networks and mechanisms to help them and accompany them through the crisis experienced, so the family and religiosityspirituality were vital.
