Abstract

The current situation of the entire world is critical due to the covid19 pandemic that is being faced since it represents a threat in the economic, labor and social fields, where production and consumption in the business world has been affected, which has caused bankruptcy. of small and medium-sized companies. The purpose of this research is to analyze the effects of Covid-19 on the economic situation of households in commune 10 of the city of Cúcuta. The methodology is descriptive, quantitative, a survey was applied as an instrument to 40 families in the commune under study. The main results of the investigation reflect that the Covid 19 pandemic affected the economy of the households of the commune, which is made up of large nuclei that sustain, thanks to the informal economy, activities that have been limited by the isolation and quarantine measures that added The increase in unemployment has made family support impossible. Government measures have mitigated the situation of very little households in the city and have not been effective in counteracting the crisis that each of them is facing.
