Abstract

Inflation is defined as the generalized rise in prices, that is, a sudden increase in the price of products, usually measured by the changes in the CPI (consumer price index) and is the average price of some goods. and services. The objective of this research is to analyze the variation that has been presented in Cúcuta in the last four years. The methodology was quantitative with a descriptive and documentary approach. The result of the analysis that was carried out for each year allowed to know that there has been a notable decrease in each elapsed and compared with the other cities of the country has decreased significantly. It is concluded that low inflation has positive consequences for a city, since the economy can better use its resources, promoting the production of goods and services and eliminating the doubts of potential entrepreneurs to invest or not in the city and this contributes to improve conditions of life of the less favorable classes.
