Abstract

Today tourism has taken a large stake in the different economies worldwide, more increases the flow of people between countries which has led to different parts of the world start thinking about new ways to generate a great attraction for the general
public. The aim of this article is to identify the importance of tourism as a sector of the economy in some countries of Latin America and the relevance of local communities in their development and academic preparation that must exist to achieve generate a
supply of competitive tourism the world market. One of the most important pillars to work in Colombia to strengthen tourism practices is training and involve the community to achieve development of solidarity economies.
