BIBLIOMETRIC ANALYSIS OF HPV AND SOCIODEMOGRAPHIC FACTORS ASSOCIATED WITH CERVICAL CANCER

Persistent infection with High Risk Human Papillomavirus HPV AR is the cause of Cervical Cancer and there are sociodemographic factors associated with the risk of developing this disease. The objective of this study was to analyze the relationship between the prevalence of HPV AR and the sociodemographic factors associated with this disease worldwide in the last five years. Data were collected using the Scopus database between 2017 and April 20, 2022 and the keywords used in the search equation were (i) HPV,
(ii) Cervical cancer and (iii) Sociodemographic Factors. Scientific publications in 2020 increased considerably compared to previous years, the main subject areas were (i) Medicine, (ii) Biochemistry, Genetics and Molecular Biology, and (iii) Microbiology and Immunology. The United States is the country with the highest number of publications, followed by Brazil. The University of Sao Paulo leads in terms of documentary contributions. The main sponsors and funders of studies and research are (i) National Cancer Institute (ii) National Institute of Health and (iii) Centers for Disease Control and Prevention of the United States.
