Wind resource in Colombia Recurso eólico en Colombia

Abstract

The growing interest in energy and the heavy reliance on non-renewable sources which are increasingly expensive and have encouraged the development of overcrowding in the use of alternative energy for power production. Such is the case of wind power, which uses the wind as feedstock for energy production.

This articleseeks to encourage individual and group studies in the faculty of mechanical engineering of wind power in our region and socialize the outcomes in the Atlas of wind and wind energy which instructs Colombia Norte de Santander and Catatumbo as potential sites interest with respect to this energy source.
