Resumen

Como parte del proceso de caracterización genética de la población Colombiana, el Instituto de Genética Humana de la Universidad Javeriana, ha venido desarrollando investigaciones sobre diversos polimorfismos de proteínas séricas , tales como: Haptoglobinas, fosfoglucomutasa, componente del grupo específico , C3 (Sarmiento, P, 1993), Transferrina (Ortiz, R, 1993), enzimas critocitarias, proteínas de membrana y
marcadores moleculares (Bernal, J, 1989). Como parte de este proceso, en este estudio se estandarizó la técnica de Electroforesis de alto voltaje e lnmunolijación de C4 lo que permitirá incluir esta proteína en los estudios de población en Colombia.
