Abstract

The purpose of the research was based on the personal evaluation of the use of income and expenses in the management of financial products, to indicate the importance of financial education. The importance of financial education from the classroom was determined through a descriptive and analytical research exercise, using instruments for data collection with students of careers related to business and finance in the different training cycles of the Institution Fundación de Estudios Superiores Comfanorte (FESC) in the city of Cúcuta, in order to evaluate the best practices on the use of personal resources of future professionals.
The field analysis showed that the family practice of saving in the banking system is the most representative and although they know the financial portfolios, the handling of money in hand is the most usual to make most of the payments and consumptions, therefore there is a low level of use of new digital trends of electronic products. Based on the results of the study, it is inferred that training and sensitization in the use of financial technological means and technological platforms should be carried out.
