Abstract

The analytic reconstruction of transit accidents, vehicle - pedestrian, for the frontal case, require a detailed study of ali parameters that affect the event. The study could be done applying a method or test that use the distance which the pedestrian is threw, to determine the speed impact range, knowing the approximate values for the friction coefficient between ground and pedestrian, friction coefficient the vehicles tires and ground and the contact time of the pedestrian with the hood.

Nevertheless, the limits and the reliability of this method in the solution of a real case are not known with accuracy. In this case, the throw distance was validating using the Colombian technical standards NTC - ISO - IEC - 17025.

The validation technique used was the comparison with experimental references, so, at the end, is developed a logic sequence for the appropriate use of this test 1n forensic physics lab.
