Abstract

Student assessment is a frequent challenge for teachers, where the analysis of competencies must be carried out in an integral and comprehensive manner, thus, rubrics are a mechanism to establish the specific criteria to be evaluated in each activity and as they clearly define metrics associated with each skill or achievement to be measured. Grading is done through criteria and each one of them is assigned a performance level, however, despite the teacher's skill in making a rubric, there are difficulties when it comes to interpreting and visualizing the results. For this purpose, the research is based on the experiences taken from courses of the 1st semester and 3rd semester of systems engineering on the Moodle e-learning platform. Results of the study are that students associate a textual icon language faster and manage to understand with greater fluency the grading aspects placed in each level of performance
